Holiday Party Looks

6 Dec

It’s the time of year for celebrating! Chances are you’ll be attending some kind of holiday party or get-together this year, and you need to be sure you look your best, girl. Below are some of my picks for 2011 holiday party fashion…check it out!

  1. The Red Dress: I think a red dress is so classic at Christmas time. It is a traditional holiday color and makes a statement. You can wear it for any occasion – for the formal work party or the girls-only gift exchange dinner and cocktails.
  2. Black Tights and Pumps: A perfect pair that goes with the red dress so fabulously! I am really into Mary Jane’s this year, and anything with bows. They’re girly and fun, and perfect for a party.
  3. A Perfect Party Top: For a holiday party, I always like something with a little sparkle. You can’t go wrong with ruffles, bows or satin, either. I try to stick to classic holiday colors, like red, gold and silver.
  4. Dressy Pants: Pair a dressy pant with your perfect party top above, and you’ll be ready for a casual Christmas get-together, or a more sophisticated work party alongside your boss and co-workers (try not to get too tipsy and bust a move on the dance floor in front of them). I love red pants and seem to always find an occasion to wear them with a cute black top during the holidays! Or how about a classic pair of velvet black slacks?

Whatever kind of celebrating you do this season, do it in style! What will you be wearing to a holiday party this year?

Happy December!

you know what else would be awesome.. a black velvet ankle length skirt, mamaw blouse, and plaid sash that ties in a big bow in the back… now that is the epitome of fashion.

Haha! Yes Megan, it is. For those of you wondering – we actually wore that outfit every year in college in our sorority’s Christmas program. In front of the whole school. Oh yes.
