Red Carpet Review: Critic’s Choice Awards 2012

15 Jan

Keeping on topic with the awards show red carpet reviews that I am doing, it’s time to have a look at the fashion from the 17th Annual Critic’s Choice Movie Awards. The show aired live this past Thursday, January 12th on VH1. Loads of celebrities walked the red carpet prior to the show, dressed in their best (well, some of them were dressed in their worst) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement.

So let’s get down to the fashion! Here’s my critique of the best and worst dressed of the night.

Loved It:

Elizabeth Olsen in Emilio Pucci

Emma Stone in Jason Wu

Michelle Williams in Chanel

Evan Rachel Wood in Valentino

Melissa McCarthy in David Meister

Elle Fanning in Rodarte

Viola Davis in Raoul

Kirsten Dunst in Dior

Diane Kruger in Prada

Loathed It:

Tilda Swinton in Yves Saint Laurent

Shailene Woodley in Calvin Klein

Chloe Moretz in Chanel

Jessica Chastain in Balenciaga

Isabelle Fuhrman in Christian Siriano

And Finally,

What Was She Thinking?:

Cruella de Vil Carrie Keagan

Overall, there were more best dressed celebs this time than worst dressed. And, as I said above, this is my critique. I know a lot of people are putting Diane Kruger and Elizabeth Olsen on their worst dressed list, but I adored their yellow frocks! Stay tuned for the Golden Globes red carpet review – the show airs tonight at 7 CST on NBC!

What did you think? Who did you love/loathe at the Critic’s Choice Awards this year?

Oh to have Fanning DNA! Those girls are so beautiful. Geez!

For real, girl. I think Elle is going to be quite the actress, too.
